Faculty Affairs and Development provides an intentional and integrated approach to supporting faculty inclusive excellence by focusing on faculty needs at different career stages, across different faculty appointment types, and across faculty roles.
In support of George Mason University's mission to foster an inclusive, equitable and thriving faculty community, the Director of Faculty Engagement and Wellbeing identified and developed resources that support faculty, department chairs and search committees in making their recruitment and hiring of faculty more diverse and equitable.
Through involvement in George Mason's broader Inclusive Excellence efforts, Faculty Affairs is also working with units across the university to revise policies and practices, and develop training programs that will support building a faculty that better reflects the diversity of our student body.
