Amid a busy schedule and multiple priorities, it can be difficult to reserve focused time for writing.
Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) offers support for faculty writing in different formats to fit your needs.
Whether you plan to write articles, book chapters, grant proposals, creative projects, new course lectures, or letters to your elected officials this fall, the WAC team knows it's often difficult to make time to focus on your writing, and is here to help faculty through a fall semester that likely has more obstacles than usual.
WAC, in collaboration with Faculty Affairs and the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning, are sponsoring faculty writing sprints. Every Friday morning of the semester (9:00am-11:00am), you can join colleagues from across campus to make progress on your projects and build some community around your writing. You can join the sprints for one week, for several weeks, or for the entire semester to set the pace for a productive academic year. All faculty, at all levels, with any kind of writing projects, are invited.
To participate in the sprints, simply connect to the Faculty Writers Community workspace in MS Teams (make sure to sign in with your Mason credentials).
